Gucci In Milan; it's gotta be perfection.

The fashion industry has been addicted to Gucci since 1921, and they continue to deliver still today in 2013. Creative director, Frida Giannini, took a different approach on sexy this year and I have a feeling it's going to be big.

See, I'm not sure about y'all, but I hate being cold. It seems as though every year as it starts to get colder, I am faced with a dilemma: to be fabulous, or to be warm? Well Gucci has decided no longer should women have to choose, because now they can have both! Giannini was inspired by 60's British artist, Allen Jones. Jones is famous for taking fetishism from behind closed doors to gallery floors (I'm such a poet, eh?) Gucci has a new idea of sexy: no bare skin... well, some bare skin, but hardly any. Their fall/winter 2013 line is so Italy: strong and sexy, and is both without being overbearing. There were long sleeve, body-con jersey dresses, paired with knee-high boots hitting above the skirt lengths. Only a few deep-v dresses and coats were spotted, but (of course) they were all done extremely tastefully, and there was a ton of leather! It was all done in perfect dark tones: army green, navy blue, burgundy, brown, and, of course, black.

The evening wear was to-die-for! The combinations of prints and fabrics were absolutely captivating. I fell completely in love with the polka-dot lace and feathers! This whole line is haute, head-to-toe sexy, without the cleavage. I love the idea of women being covered up as sexy, versus the typical ideal of baring it all. Very well-played, Gucci.
